TECH SCAVENGER HUNT

Event Description

Fees:50 per head (200 per team)

Event Overview: The competition consists of three rounds.

Rules & Guidelines

• Team Size: Each team can have 2-4 participants.
• Fair Play: No use of the internet, external help, or unfair means. If found, team will be directly dis-qualified.
• Time Limits: Each round must be completed within the given duration
• Judging: Judges' decisions are final in case of disputes.

ROUNDS:

Round 1: Tech Trivia & Riddles (Qualifier Round)

• Format: Written
• Duration: 20-30 minutes
• Objective: Test participants' basic tech knowledge and logical thinking.
• 10-15 MCQs (Topics: Coding Basics, Famous Tech Innovations, Computer Hardware, Software, Internet, etc.)
• 5-7 Tech Riddles (Example: “I have keys but open no locks, I have a space but no room. What am I?” – Answer: A Keyboard)

Round 2: QR Code & Digital Clues (Semi-Final)

• Format: On-campus scavenger hunt
• Duration: 45-60 minutes
• Objective: Solve puzzles to find hidden QR codes and progress.
• Judging: Judges' decisions are final in case of disputes.
• Teams receive their first clue (Example: “Find where codes are compiled and errors get fixed” – Answer: Computer Lab).
• At each location, a QR code is hidden. Scanning the QR reveals the next tech puzzle.

Round 3: The Ultimate Tech Challenge (Final Round)

• Format: Hands-on Tech Challenge
• Duration: 60-90 minutes
• Objective: A mix of practical coding, hardware, and logic-based problem-solving
• Tasks (Pick based on facilities available):
• 1. Debugging Challenge – Identify and fix errors in a simple C/Python/Java code
• 2. Navigating to a website and solving a cipher.
• 3. Tech Assembly Task – Assemble computer parts (RAM, CPU, HDD, GPU) in the correct order
